Clear Coating That Protects and Repels Graffiti

There are three different types of anti-graffiti coatings

  1. Sacrificial Coating

A sacrificial Anti-Graffiti Coating forms a clear coat barrier over the surface it is applied to. If the surface becomes vandalized, the surface should be cleaned as recommend by the manufacture. However since it is a sacrificial Anti-Graffiti coating the coating will also be removed during the cleaning process (sacrificed). Once the coating is removed it must be reapplied for further protection. Sacrificial Anti-Graffiti coating is the cheapest of the three Anti-Graffiti coatings and usually the most commonly used.
  2. Semi-Sacrificial Coating

Semi-Sacrificial Coating also commonly known as a "safety shield" acts as a penetrating sealer on the wall or surfaces it is applied to for protection. The Semi-Sacrificial Anti-Graffiti Coating is used to protect the surfaces pores, if the said surfaces are vandalized the Semi-Sacrificial Anti-Graffiti can be partially removed per manufactures recommendations. Usually a Graffiti removal solution or high pressure washer is sufficient. Once cleaning has occurred twice, it is recommended that Semi-Sacrificial Coating be reapplied for further protection.
  3. Non-Sacrificial Anti-Graffiti Coating

A Non-sacrificial Anti-graffiti coating is a permanent coating. This is the most expensive of the three Anti-Graffiti coatings, however once the Non-Sacrificial coating is appropriately applied to the required substrates, should an attack occur there is no need for reapplication once cleaning has occurred. Should a vandalism attack occur, often a simple solvent will be sufficient enough to clean the substrate, per manufactures recommendation.

Clear Sealer Anti-Graffiti Coating

Clear Sealer Anti-Graffiti CoatingAnti-Graffiti coating is a clear coating that protects and repels graffiti, permanent markers, etc. from surfaces. Anti-Graffiti coatings are a clear sealer coating and are not often seen by the naked eye. Most Anti-Graffiti coatings also meet LEED standards and can be used on interior and exterior substrates.
